Dodgers Get Pitcher Back From Angels Following Struggles

The Los Angeles Angels have recently returned southpaw Garrett McDaniels to the Los Angeles Dodgers after he cleared waivers.

LHP Garrett McDaniels cleared waivers and has been returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

McDaniels was first acquired by the Angels by way of the Rule 5 Draft this past offseason.

The Rule 5 Draft is a way for players who have spent considerable time in the minor leagues — specifically a player signed at 18 years old or younger spending five seasons not yet promoted to a 40-man roster or signed 19 years old and older having spent four seasons in a team’s farm system — to be acquired and added to a 26-man roster of another team.
