LOS ANGELES – Like any new car owner, the Dodgers drove their trade-deadline acquisitions off the lot and felt pretty, pretty good about themselves.
Two weeks later, there are oil stains in the driveway.
Right-hander Mat Latos failed to make it through five innings for the second consecutive start as the Dodgers lost to the Cincinnati Reds, 10-3, Thursday night.
Since the trade deadline, the Dodgers have gone 6-6 – 4-1 when Zack Greinke or Clayton Kershaw has started, 2-5 when anyone else has taken the mound including three losses in four starts by their shiny new starting pitchers, Latos and Alex Wood.
