Free agent outfielder Jose Ramos, who played the first six seasons of his professional career within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets this week.
Ramos, 24, signed with the Dodgers in 2018, and began playing in the minors the following year. He played 57 games in the Dominican Summer League in 2019, slashing .285/.362/.377 with two home runs and 27 RBIs.
After sitting out in 2020, Ramos tore the cover off the ball across multiple levels in 2021. He was quickly promoted to Single-A from the Arizona Complex League after posting a 1.
