The Diamondbacks are having a weird offseason. Even though they haven't been able to get back to the playoffs since their wild World Series run in 2023 and finished 2025 with a losing record, they have the core pieces to get back to competing. Even if they don't look like they stand a chance against the Dodgers, the Padres are floundering, the Giants are still in limbo, and the Rockies are helpless, as always.
But they've made just two real additions this offseason, getting Merrill Kelly back after trading him to the Rangers at the deadline and signing Michael Soroka to a one-year deal.
