It was part of Dodger Stadium tradition for fans at Chavez Ravine for decades. Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack. And you wanted those peanuts tossed to you from LA’s favorite peanut man Roger Owens.
But the Dodgers told him he can’t do that anymore.
As the season has progressed, fans on Facebook and Reddit have voiced their growing concern over the change. Roger has politely been handing fans their bag of peanuts and offering an equally polite explanation of the change.
Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times recently penned a column about it as well, shining a spotlight on the unfortunate restriction.
