Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez has successful minor shoulder surgery

All was apparently well with Dodgers’ utility man extraordinaire Enrique Hernandez after he underwent his somewhat surprising shoulder surgery Wednesday.

The Dodgers said it took Dr. Neal ElAttrache only 30 minutes to perform the shoulder cleanup (debridement) in an arthroscopic procedure.

The minor surgery was performed in Los Angeles. The Dodgers said Hernandez is expected to start physical therapy next week and be fully recovered prior to the start of spring training.

Hernandez, 24, came to the Dodgers last off-season in a deal that sent eventual batting champion Dee Gordon to the Marlins, where he now will be reunited with former Dodgers manager Don Mattingly.
