Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Emmet Sheehan is expected to remain in the rotation for at least one additional start before either being moved to the bullpen or sent back down to the minor leagues.
Sheehan made his second start of the 2025 season Sunday against the Houston Astros. The right-hander allowed one run on five hits with four strikeouts and a walk across five innings pitched.
The 25-year-old was tasked with facing the San Diego Padres lineup in his return to MLB. Sheehan underwent Tommy John surgery in 2023 and missed all of last season as he recovered.
