Dodgers Draft a Hard Throwing Righty in the First Round

It’s a weird year when the MLB draft is just five rounds long, but we’ll take what we can get. The first round of the draft was live last night, and the Dodgers went a familiar route with their first pick.

The Dodgers are known to go after arms in the draft, stocking their farm system with pitching. And for the most part, that method has proven effective over the years. Walker Buehler was a first-round pick in 2015 out of Vanderbilt, and we all know how that went.

This year, the Dodgers went with another hard-throwing right-handed pitcher, this time out Lousiville.
