Dodgers’ David Price Celebrates Vanderbilt Kicker Sarah Fuller

During a year that has been difficult on the entire world, the story of Vanderbilt place kicker Sarah Fuller has been an uplifting one over the past few weeks.

Fuller is the goalkeeper for the Vanderbilt soccer team, which won the SEC tournament. Her kicking ability earned a spot on the Commodores football team two weeks ago when Pierson Cooke and Wes Farley were both out due to COVID-19 tracing.

She kicked the ball off Nov. 28 in a game against Missouri, becoming the first woman to play for a power five school. New Mexico’s Katie Hnida (2003) and Kent State’s April Goss (2015) previously scored points as kickers in FBS college football games, though in group of five conferences.
