Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts removed Shohei Ohtani from Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies after throwing five no-hit innings.

Roberts said before the game the team would cap Ohtani at five innings. He stayed true to his word, despite Ohtani having a no-hitter. Ohtani was at 68 pitches.
Left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski replaced Ohtani to start the sixth inning. Ohtani, of course, is still in the game as the designated hitter thanks to the Shohei Ohtani rule.
