The ramping up process with Shohei Ohtani as a starting pitcher continues to evolve.
Since coming back to the mound, the Dodgers understandably have been limiting the 31-year-old in terms of work load.
Thus far, Ohtani has featured in four games as a starter. In two of those outings, he went one inning apiece. In the other two, Ohtani went two innings in each ballgame.
This gradual process seems to be ticking in the right direction as it pertains to an increased work load. Manager Dave Roberts admitted as much recently — though he did not put a timeline as to when Ohtani could pitch long enough to qualify for a win as a starting pitcher.
