Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts has been struggling quite a bit at the plate recently.
In his last 30 games, Betts is hitting .185 with an OPS of just .527 and 12 RBIs in this span. His Win Probability measurement of -7.29 quantifies the slump and adds context surrounding his abysmal stretch.
After a day off on Saturday, manager Dave Roberts moved Betts up to the leadoff spot in the lineup to try and get his shortstop to focus more on simply getting on base, and less about getting hits. Betts went 1-for-5 with a strikeout and a brutal lineout to center with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.
