Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Kiké Hernandez landed on the injured list with left elbow inflammation earlier this week. Hernandez revealed he had been dealing with the injury for over a month, but manager Dave Roberts was not aware about the 33-year-old’s ongoing elbow issue.
“At that point in time, he kept it to himself,” said Roberts, relaying he didn’t know Hernandez was trying to play through the injury until recently. “He just wanted to be out there to compete, and it just continually got worse and really impacted his offense and the swing.
