The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to become the first team in the National League to collect 50 wins, but have been doing so amid recent struggles from eight-time All-Star Mookie Betts.
Betts is batting .257 this season, but has just eight hits in his last 40 at-bats. When the 2018 American League MVP does make contact, it is hit 95 mph or faster just 35 percent of the time, which is in the 20th percentile of active batters this year.
Manager Dave Roberts spoke on being surprised at Betts’ cold bat lately.
