Los Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw has earned another prestigious accolade as he became just the 20th pitcher in MLB history to throw 3,000 career strikeouts.
On Wednesday night, in the top of the sixth inning, Kershaw recorded his 3,000th career strikeout. Dodger Stadium took time to pay homage to the future Hall of Famer and celebrate a monumental achievement for the man who has been hurling sky-high curveballs at Chávez Ravine since 2008.
