The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially called up Bobby Miller amid this season’s extended pitching struggles, per manager Dave Roberts, and optioned Matt Sauer in a corresponding move.
Friday evening saw just how crucial pitching depth can be as eight pitchers were used in the 13-inning win, and 14 other talented arms were watching on from the injured list. As L.A. prepares for Game 2 of their series against the New York Mets, the 26-year-old right-hander will be waiting in the wings.
Miller has had quite the journey to get back to The Show. Most recently, he made his 2025 debut in the middle of April, striking out seven but allowing six runs in three innings.
