Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that while relief pitcher Brock Stewart still has a chance to return before the regular season, it seems unlikely.
Stewart threw a bullpen on Wednesday, but is still feeling some residual soreness. The right-hander has been on the injured list since Aug. 12 with right shoulder inflammation.
“He’s pitchable,” Roberts said Wednesday. “I think tomorrow will be a light catch day. He wants to be a part of things and he’s doing everything he can. We’ve just got to be mindful of the health, the performance part of it.
