Dodgers Bringing Up Another Catcher as Dalton Rushing Could Go On Injured List

Los Angeles Dodgers backup catcher Dalton Rushing exited Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles with a lower right leg contusion.

Manager Dave Roberts said after the game that X-rays came back negative, but Rushing is going for a CT scan on Saturday. The catcher won’t play Saturday and could be placed on the injured list.

With Rushing and Will Smith out, the Dodgers are bringing up another catcher to Baltimore to join Ben Rortvedt (likely Chuckie Robinson).

Dave Roberts said X-rays on Dalton Rushing’s leg were negative, but he’ll definitely be down tomorrow and could very well still need the IL.
