Dodgers Break Franchise Record For Most Home Runs In Single Season

Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run home run off Chris Stratton in the fourth inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers 212 homers on the season. That broke the franchise record of 211 home runs, set by the 2000 Dodgers. This season is a sixth in which the team has slugged at least 200 homers.

In addition to 2000, Los Angeles previously reached the plateau in 1953 (208 home runs), 1955 (201), 2001 (206) and 2004 (203). They’re led in 2017 by Cody Bellinger’s 39 home runs, which are a National League rookie record.

Yasiel Puig is second on the team with 26 homers, Chris Taylor, Justin Turner and Grandal each have 21, while Corey Seager has hit 20.
