The Los Angeles Dodgers announced the news this week with changes to their coaching staff. The team is moving Danny Lehmann to the bench coach role and Bob Geren will be moving to a major league field coordinator role.
Geren previously worked as the bench coach for the last seven seasons and operated closely with Dave Roberts. Now, he will serve as a major league field coordinator role.
Geren will be transitioning into a completely new position, but LA general manager Brandon Gomes gave insight into why the shift occurred, as Fabian Ardaya reports in The Athletic.
