The Los Angeles Dodgers did not have the blockbuster trade deadline they were expected to have. The Dodgers typically land some of the biggest names on the market, but this season they only added MLB talent in reliever Brock Stewart and outfielder Alex Call.
Los Angeles has stated they are content with their current roster and believe their best baseball has yet to come. Therefore, the front office did not feel desperate to make any big trades.
Dodgers general manager Andrew Friedman spoke about the franchise’s quiet deadline on AM 570 LA Sports. He said the team’s current struggles at the plate could not be solved at the trade deadline.
