The Dodgers clinched the NL West title for the seventh year in a row with today’s 7-3 victory over the Orioles. Fans definitely aren’t going to be celebrating an NL West title at this point, and that’s understandable, but it understandably means something to the players.
The victory was easy primarily because Walker Buehler threw seven shutout innings. It was the Orioles, but also he allowed just four hits, all singles, and struck out 11 batters in a masterful outing.
That was more than enough time for the offense to tee off against the Orioles pitching.
