DJ Peters wins California League Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES — Playing in front of friends and family has paid dividends for outfielder DJ Peters, who was named California League Player of the Week on Monday.

The Glendora High School alum was drafted by the Dodgers in the fourth round in 2016 out of Western Nevada College, and has excelled in his first month with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Last week Peters was 10-for-25 (.400) with four home runs — the last of which came Saturday at Lancaster — two doubles, six walks, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored in seven games for the Quakes.
