Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Tommy Edman is out of Monday’s lineup because manager Dave Roberts wanted to give him a day off after playing the first 28 games of the year.

“He’s grinding,” Roberts added.
This marks the first game Edman has missed this season. The switch-hitter is one of the Dodgers’ most productive hitters this season, hitting .243 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs.
