Dave Roberts Reveals Why He Removed Shohei Ohtani From Leadoff Spot in Dodgers Lineup

The Los Angeles Dodgers will feature a bit of a lineup shakeup on Sunday ahead of the series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Mookie Betts, after taking the night off on Saturday, will be batting leadoff, and manager Dave Roberts recently revealed why. The skipper has considered the move for a few weeks now, amid the superstar’s career-worst slump, and hopes that the move can get his focus back to getting on base.

Roberts also noted that Betts will remain there until third baseman Max Muncy returns from injury.

As for the former leadoff batter, Shohei Ohtani, he is “all about the team” and had no issues moving out of the top spot.
