The Los Angeles Dodgers entered the season looking to become baseball’s first back-to-back champions in a quarter century, but as the season has soldiered on, there have been no shortage of moments where the offensive has fallen flat.
The San Diego Padres have crept up to, and even overtook, the Dodgers in the NL West this month, but at just two games ahead in the division, manager Dave Roberts sees this as more helpful than harmful to his team.
