PHOENIX — We get a treat on Wednesday afternoon when the Dodgers play the Angels for the first time all spring, getting to see Clayton Kershaw potentially face off against two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani in Tempe.
Ohtani is the designated hitter for the Angels on Wednesday and batting seventh. He’s just 1-for-9 with three walks and three strikeouts in his four Cactus League games as a hitter so far, but the 23-year-old lefty hit .286/.358/.500 in five seasons in the Japanese Pacific League.
