Burglars hit Yasiel Puig’s Sherman Oaks home, get $175,000 in valuables

SHERMAN OAKS — The Los Angeles Police Department said today it is investigating a burglary that netted about $170,000 worth of jewelry and other valuables from the Sherman Oaks home of Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig.

The crime occurred some time during the week of Feb. 27th at Puig’s residence in the 15000 block of Greenleaf Street, police said.

The celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that the items taken included three “high-end Rolex watches” and that the crime occurred while Puig was in Arizona with the Dodgers for Spring Training. Sources told TMZ that Puig had tapped a relative to stay in the home in his absence, but the crooks made their move when that person was out of the house.
