Brock Stewart strikes out career-high 10 in second Triple-A start

A pair of Dodgers affiliates saw their first-half playoff pursuits end on Sunday, with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Tulsa both losing. But arguably the hottest pitcher in the farm system had a great start in just his second start with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Player of the day

Brock Stewart has shot up the Dodger prospect charts since joining the club as a sixth-round pick in 2014. On Saturday he punched out 10 in his second start with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing just five hits and one run over seven frames. The right-hander has a 1.35 ERA in 14 starts across three levels this season, leading all Dodgers minor leaguers with 86 strikeouts against only 13 walks in 80 innings.
