The Toronto Blue Jays are starting rookie right-handed pitcher Trey Yesavage in Game 1 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, manager John Schneider announced Thursday.
The Blue Jays had started veteran right-hander Kevin Gausman in Game 1 of the American League Division Series and AL Championship Series. However, Yesavage is getting the ball to start the World Series, facing off against Dodgers ace Blake Snell.
