The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped the first game of their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, and many noticed that two-time Cy Young award winner Blake Snell was far from his best.
The southpaw hurled eight strikeouts across 5.1 innings of work, but allowed three earned runs, three walks, and three hits on the night.
In Snell’s most recent start, his four-seam fastball was averaging 93.7 mph compared to 95.2 mph the week prior. Manager Dave Roberts, however, doesn’t seem too concerned due to the major event Snell was a part of this past week.
