The Dodgers have seven current or former major league general managers listed on their front-office payroll:
Senior Vice President, Baseball Operations Josh Byrnes (Diamondbacks 2005-10; Padres 2011-14)
The Dodgers formally appointed former Toronto Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos to a front-office position, giving him the new title of Vice President, Baseball Operations.
Anthopoulos, 38, joins an executive team that includes general manager Farhan Zaidi, senior vice president of baseball operations Josh Byrnes and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman.
Friedman will have the final say over baseball decisions, Anthopoulos said.
“Having been a GM in the past, there’s so many things going on that you never have enough time in the day,” he said Tuesday.
