Adrian Gonzalez was scratched from the Dodgers lineup Saturday because of pinched nerve in his lower back.
Gonzalez was out of the starting lineup two other times in the last week because of the condition, which is affecting his left leg.
“We just want to get rid of it,” Manager Don Mattingly said. “It just seems to be going away and then comes back when he plays. Hopefully, a few days will get rid of it.”
Mattingly said Gonzalez will be held out of the starting lineup Sunday in the Dodgers’ series finale against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
