The Latest Dodgers Trade Rumors On Interest In Rays Pitchers, Rich Hill And Jay Bruce

The MLB trade deadline on August 1st is rapidly approaching, and the Los Angeles Dodgers trade rumors are starting to heat up. The Dodgers are 52-42, good for the top wild card spot in the NL. But the Dodgers are likely to try to find an upgrade or two before the deadline. They already made one move, swinging a trade for starting pitcher Bud Norris at the end of June. With that in mind, here all the latest Dodgers trade rumors.

Dodgers Interested In Rays' Starters?
The Dodgers are once again looking for starting pitching help (even after the trade for Norris), and they're checking out three different Tampa Bay Rays' starters.

In addition to Odorizzi, the Tampa Bay Times reports the Dodgers scouted Matt Moore at his start Saturday and MLB.com reports the Dodgers also checked out Chris Archer Friday. The Dodgers' interest in Rays' pitcher (especially Archer) makes sense given President of Baseball operations Andrew Friedman's ties to the Rays. Despite a 4-13 record and a 4.68 ERA, Archer is likely the most expensive of the three players. The gifted pitcher is under team control through 2021, while Odorizzi and Moore can leave after the 2019 season.

Dodgers Looking At Rich Hill?
If the Dodgers can't land a Rays starter, they could turn to the Athletics' Rich Hill. Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports the Dodgers are "expected to be in the bidding." Several teams have shown interest in the 36-year-old lefty. He'll have a strong market, once he proves he's healthy enough to remain on the mound. The Dodgers have been linked to Hill in the past

LA And Jay Bruce?
Pitching isn't the only area the Dodgers are looking at upgrading. They also have interest in Reds' OF Jay Bruce, reports Passan.

Barring a last-minute reversal, Bruce will go somewhere. Cleveland could be the favorite. Texas, Washington, Baltimore, San Francisco, the Los Angeles Dodgers – they’ve all checked in on Bruce and have varying degrees of interest.

The Dodgers have pulled off deals with the Reds in the past, so they're a logical trade partner. This isn't the first time the Dodgers have been connected to Bruce, and he'd help their outfield.
