With Kevin Durant deal unlikely, LA Clippers re-sign Austin Rivers

ORLANDO, Fla. >> The more realistic course of action in free agency took place Saturday, with the Clippers seemingly moving on from a “Big 4” to start the rebuild of their “Second 5.”

The Clippers and Austin Rivers agreed to a three-year deal with more than $35 million per a source close to the negotiations. The third year in the deal is a player option.

The team also agreed to a deal with Wesley Johnson to return.

The deal cannot become official until Thursday.

The team also offered Jamal Crawford a deal, though Crawford has yet to accept.
