Over the weekend, the Clippers shocked the NBA world by not only signing the reigning NBA Finals MVP away from the Toronto Raptors, but simultaneously trading for the player who finished 3rd in MVP voting last season.
That’s right. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are both L.A. Clippers, and the team became championship favorites in the blink of an eye. Even though the Clippers had to trade Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, and every draft pick for a decade in order to land George, it was well worth it to secure Kawhi’s commitment.
