A report by Adrian Wojnarowski came out on Monday stating that the Clippers were moving on from Bruce Bowen as their TV analyst due to his remarks about Kawhi Leonard earlier this summer. Bowen did not speak to Woj for the report, and was silent on the matter until today, when he went on the Dan Patrick Show to talk about it.
Bowen confirmed that his firing was due to the Kawhi remarks, but did not apologize for them, or state in any way that such statements were in bad form. Instead, Bowen doubled down, saying that it’s his job as an analyst to make comments about the game, and that it speaks poorly of the Clippers that they wouldn’t let him do this.
