LA Clippers' Austin Rivers details vicious elbow he took

PLAYA VISTA >> With one new tooth and three fixed, Austin Rivers on Sunday morning took reporters through the Oct. 9 incident that left him with pain, a mouthful of stitches and the inability to speak with his normal animation.

“Yeah, I went to block (rookie) Branden Dawson’s layup and then (he) just elbowed me accidentally,” said Rivers, a reserve guard for the Clippers. “One of my teeth came out and the other three just kind of bent back in my mouth, so they were kind of just hanging.”

This happened in Shenzhen, China, where Rivers sat out a game there the next day against the Charlotte Hornets.
