Five Takeaways: Shorthanded Clippers Fall In Utah, 104-78

SALT LAKE CITY – The Clippers lost to the Jazz, 104-78, Monday night in Utah in their fifth preseason game.

Here are five takeaways from the matchup:

1) Shorthanded – Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Alan Anderson all got the night off. With most of the starting lineup resting, Austin Rivers, Brandon Bass and Marreese Speights started alongside J.J. Redick and Luc Mbah a Moute. Rivers had his best half of the preseason in the first half, going 4-for-7 with eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in the first half before finishing 6-for-12 with a team-high 15 points, as well as five rebounds and four assists.
