The Clippers will be heading out of Los Angeles for training camp, spending time in Orange County before beginning their preseason schedule.
The team will hold training camp at UC Irvine in preparation for their Oct. 3 preseason opener at Staples Center. Camp will open Sept. 26.
It's the third year in a row the Clippers have left Los Angeles for part of camp. In his first year with the team, Doc Rivers brought the team to La Jolla, and last year the team trained at UNLV in Las Vegas.
Rivers' son, Spencer, redshirted last season for UC Irvine's basketball team.
