Practice began with a short introduction by head coach Brendan O’Connor and his coaching staff. After the intro, O’Connor immediately broke the players into teams black and white. The black team was spearheaded by the familiar names of C.J. Wilcox and Branden Dawson, then followed by two of the newest members of the Clippers; Brice Johnson and Diamond Stone. Team white was led by Wes Washpun, Royce O’Neale and Greg Stiesma. Each of these team leaders were instrumental in following O’Connor’s series of drills aimed at the defensive end of the floor.
Once O’Connor finished going over the defense, assistant coach Armond Hill took the baton and led a series of fastbreak drills.
