Chris Paul expected to start Friday for the Clippers in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – The Clippers were 22-7 when Chris Paul first tweaked his left hamstring in a game against the San Antonio Spurs last month. With Paul hurting, the Clippers went on to win that game, but the two weeks since have brought mostly misfortune.

Paul missed seven of the next eight games and the Clippers (24-14) lost six straight before beating Phoenix and Memphis this week.

Finally, on Friday, there was good news.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Paul will “most likely” start against the Sacramento Kings (15-20) on Friday, giving the Clippers perhaps the most important piece of their Big Three.
