The 3 Worst Draft Picks In Los Angeles Clippers History

The Los Angeles Clippers will have plenty of talented options if they can find a way to trade back into the 2015 NBA Draft, but as the franchise well knows, there's also plenty to be nervous about doing that when it comes to potential draft busts lurking in the weeds. Here's our list of The 3 Worst Draft Picks In Los Angeles Clippers History.

3. Darius Miles (#3 in 2000)

Miles appeared to be the prototype the Clippers were looking for at the turn of the millennium -- athleticallly gifted, aggressive as a scorer and possessing a killer instinct that the team so desperately needed. What they got was a head case who threw shade at every opportunity he could and lacked the discipline to translate his talented to top-tier success. After two turbulent seasons in L.A., Miles was dumped to the Philadelphia 76ers for Andre Miller, closing the chapter on one of the biggest what ifs of the past couple decades.

2. Yaroslav Korolev (#12 in 2005)

One of the biggest cautionary tales when it comes to drafting European prospects with no experience playing at the highest levels of U.S. basketball, Korolev played a whopping 148 minutes with the Clippers over two years, washing out of the league soon after while players picked after him such as Danny Granger, Jarrett Jack, David Lee and Louis Williams thrived for years to come.

1. Michael Olowokandi (#1 in 1998)

Olowokandi is on the reverse Mount Rushmore of top NBA draft picks alongside such flame-outs as Kwame Brown and Sam "I'm Not Michael Jordan" Bowie. The Kandi Man had a solid eight-year NBA career for himself, but nowhere near the heights reached by later selections like Paul Pierce and Dirk Nowitzki. As Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once said after being enlisted to coach Olowokandi along, he was a "talented but uncoachable" mess of unrealized potential.
