The Los Angeles Clippers reduced their roster to 15 players on Saturday, waiving Australian star Joe Ingles, per a team press release.

The Aussie forward impressed many scouts during the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup along with his time playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli Premier League in 2013. That earned him a spot on the Clippers’ roster this preseason. However, only Ekpe Udoh played fewer minutes during the preseason.

Per Rowan Kavner of NBA.com, "Ingles and guard Jared Cunningham both went into the preseason with non-guaranteed contracts, but Cunningham put up 49 points, six assists, six steals and 10 rebounds in an impressive 91 minutes. Cunningham finished three of the final four preseason games with double digit points in extended action while guard Jordan Farmar nursed a back injury."

Ingles could find himself either on a D-League within just a couple of days, or could always return to the international scene and ply his trade there.
