Avid NBA fans may remember Coby Karl's brief stint with the Denver Nuggets in 2010 under father/coach George Karl, but George was recovering when Coby was an active member of th team following his treatment for throat cancer.

Last weekend, coach Rivers said that he had opened his mind about the opportunity to coach his son, Austin.

"I think a year ago I probably wouldn't," he said. "I think I would (now) for sure. I think this team could handle that."

The 10th overall pick by New Orleans back in 2012, Rivers has averaged 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 21.4 minutes per game for the Pelicans this season.
