Will Ken Whisenhunt bolt for the college game?

Reports came to light on Thursday that Whisenhunt will interview for the head coaching spot at Georgia Tech. He will speak with the school about the vacancy some time this weekend ahead of the Chargers’ critical Sunday night tilt with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Georgia Tech is looking for a replacement for Paul Johnson, who has decided to retire after 11 seasons at the school.

Whisenhunt is in his third year as the Chargers’ offensive coordinator. In college, he was a tight end at Georgia Tech. In his four years at the school, he caught 82 passes for 1,264 yards and seven touchdowns.
