Why Chargers won’t make the trade deadline moves you want

The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, October 29. It will likely be a day full of moves, both big and small which can change the fate of franchises for the rest of this year, and even years going forward. With teams like the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots acquiring Jalen Ramsey and Mohammed Sanu, respectively, Chargers fans now all patiently wait to see what general manager Tom Telesco decides to do at the deadline. However, just how it happens year after year, the Chargers will sit quietly as many other teams look to improve their teams. Telesco will not pull the trigger to acquire (or even send off, as will be discussed) talented players and try to salvage what is left of Philip Rivers’ career and the team’s Super Bowl window.
