Chargers coaches developed a pointed plan this offseason to maximize the usage of their offensive personnel. The plan, which likely included packages involving both Antonio Gates and Ladarius Green, was in place while the former tight end quietly combated a drug test that arose in April.
The plan remained in May during organized team activities.
