Nick Canepa of the San Diego Union-Tribune, who covered the San Diego Chargers for four decades, released his all-time Chargers team this week.
The usual suspects appear on the list, including Philip Rivers, LaDainian Tomlinson, Lance Alworth and Junior Seau.
But Canepa also adds some oldies but goodies like cornerback Gil Byrd, running back Chuck Muncie and returner Leslie “Speedy” Duncan that may have been forgotten by the casual San Diego fan.
My take: With the possibility of the Chargers leaving town at the end of this season, Canepa’s list is a nice trip down memory lane during the holiday season.
