NFL proposes to hold back portion of player salaries in 2020

Yesterday evening, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on the NFL Player’s Association being informed of the NFL’s proposal to retain 35% of player salaries in escrow this year “to help manage costs during the 2020 season.” It’s currently one option on the table to help mitigate lost revenue for the future and I’m sure it’s not the last we’ll hear of something like this being discussed.
